After being a band for I don't know how long, Frogball has called it quits. Awesome band full of awesome dudes who make awesome music. While I wish they were bigger so more people could listen to their music, they were happy with what they had. Having the pleasure of being good friends with these guys, Frogball was an anthem and an outlet to what a giant group of kids are all about. Never taking anything seriously, FB made fun music and had fun doing so. Partying and hanging out mixed with a mocking view of life and society, FB made a joke out of everything. Something the world lacks, a sense of humor with a side of angst.

Their shows were always fun, packed and wild. There were always kids there ready to yell about not having enough money for nachos or how lifting weights is stupid. I remember a show getting shut down and an a capella Frogball set was yelled by everyone into the faces of stupid small town cops. With a DIY ethic, Frogball had tons of merch and charged the lowest prices they could. Going on multiple tours of the U.S, Frogball experienced things everyone dreams of doing while making friends all over and spreading their slacker anthems.

This band made so many people come together and allowed me to meet so many of my current friends. I'd like to thank this band for being great guys and giving us something to do at shows or at our parent's empty homes. So ends Frogball, rest in peace.

This is basically their discography but newer songs do exist. No bad songs, no serious songs just fun songs. I have never seen a band take themselves less seriously than Frogball and their music is the perfect embodiment of that spirit. This collection of songs is the culmination of a couple demos and splits and also has the hilarious live recordings they did for WERS radio. Perfectly paced punk rock with rockin' solos, classic bass lines and unforgettable choruses. Such scorching topics as nachos, America, not working, sitting around and the weekend are what most of these songs are about and what the band itself cares about, well besides the amazing film, Dirty Work and beer. So listen to this cd and fall in love. Buy some merch and some records(this cd is only $6.50). Listen to Frogball, the complete opposite of all the stuff you hate about modern music.

If you look through past posts it is obvious this blog worships GG. The other day the documentary, Hated - G.G. Allin & the Murder Junkies, was viewed by the contributors here and I highly recommend watching it if you are at all interested in GG. It has interviews with him and close friends and has alot of actual video of him carving his chest up with razors, eating his own poop and letting a crack whore piss in his mouth. This is a must see. But this post is twofold, I'm also putting GG's country album, Carnival of Excess up for download. This album is great, still has the same message as all his other works but the format, the country style really suits his coarse voice. Give it a listen it's the best.

I stumbled across this wiki entry and I really think this guy might be the most underrated man in the history of history. There isn't a lot on his wiki but let's take a look at his life, shall we?

His offical job titles are an obvious combo, illustrator and magician. He was born in Germany in the year 1674 and died in 1740, he lived so long for the time period and especially his unique circumstances. He was born without hands, feet or thighs and somehow managed to have 4 wives and bang out 14+ children. Wiki says that "in addition to conjuring, Buchinger enjoyed a great reputation as an engraver and an artist." I really did not know that conjuring was a profitable enterprise during those times but Matthias rocked it hard. It is said that his hands were "finlike" but he still made some pretty sick engravings, on his self portrait if you look close (AT THE PICTURE) it shows how the hairs on his head are actually biblical psalms. Now, his real profession was being a magician and he did such great feats as making birds appear out of thin air and was a master of cards and also my favorite pastime, archery. He also created a bunch of instruments and was the only person to play them. This guy was fucking cool.

There was an earlier post about GG Allin but now I've uploaded an album by GG and his band the Jabbers. This is great music, before I had only heard his later works and this really is way better than anything he's done (country albums are the only worth debating). It was first introduced to me by some friends who were sitting in a hot tub drinking Red Dog, so you know it’s great. This is the first album made by GG and it’s before his voice started to deteriorate due to the entirety of the crazy drugs he was on. Recorded in the late 70's, this collection of individual songs was released in 1980. It is really awesome stuff, listen to it. The cover is of course a picture of GG, but I’m pretty sure this picture was taken after 1980.

Nope you're all wrong, this family just got a converter box so that they can continue watching TV!!!! But sadly, many will no longer be able to watch their prized television sets because of the digital switcharoo. Jesus H. Christ people it's just TV and there's a simple solution to your life ending predicament to boot! If this family would buy a $44.44 converter box their worries would go away and they could continue watching Rosanne. But wait, there's more! The government is giving away coupons to take $40.00 off the asking price of the converter, not even the esteemed Billy Mays could do that. Rabbit ears and hugging your family members is a thing of the past, get with the times. Speaking of times, this story came right out of the New York Times and apparently "10 percent of the 114 million households that have television sets are either completely or partly unprepared." What's partly unprepared? Like owning the box and being too lazy or dumb to set it up? Man I feel for the people who aren't prepared slash don't have 4 buckaroos to spare. Waking up one morning and seeing that there's nothing on TV. Oh wait, that's me every morning on my perfect comcast setup with 800 channels. Go read a book you loons.
